On August 30th, over 90% of the registered voters in East Timor went to the
polls to cast votes for the 88-seat Constituent Assembly, which will be
charged with drafting a constitution for East Timor. OTI staff served as
observers in Aileu, Manufahi, Manatuto, and Dili districts, visiting several
polling centers in each district.
